<div>Mama here, we've had a week from hell here. First, I had to call the vet for Beas, she's been shaking her head and scratching at the good ear. Also, she's got the itchies on the inside of her back legs and around her nebberminds. Well, the vet said she got an ear infection, (OH great!) and an allergic reaction to something outside. She gave me pred and an antibiotic but didn't want to give her an injection because of her age (10). Then last Wednesday, a major storm came through my area and knocked the power out, and wouldn't ya know it but my cell's battery was dead along with the landline. I opened a window and yelled for my neighbor and she came over so I could use her cell to call my sister. My sister came as soon as she could while I packed some stuff to stay at her house. I told her that we ARE NOT leaving Beas, as the temps where in the high 80's with high humidity. She didn't want to let Beas ride in her car, so we left but I called my nephew and he came for Beas and brought her to their house. They have a Brittany Spaniel and a Chiachuahua (?). I was a little nervous but my Beas came through like a trooper, she came in, snapped at both dogs and they left her alone! HA HA HA Then they all went outside and played in a nice big backyard. We had to stay there until Friday morning when the power was finally restored. I lost just about everything in my freezer and fridge. I was planning to go grocery shopping just before the storm hit. I was really proud of my girl, she came in and took charge. Didn't mess in the house or chew anything, she did have to sleep with me on the couch which was a sight....LOL. Since we've been home, Beas has stuck by me, I moved one of her beds into my room and she's been sleeping in there at night. Her ear is better and the sores on her legs are better too. I was worried that the stress of leaving her home might affect her, but she seems well and content. </div>
