I have a word of caution when socks are worn or any
such clothing optional item they can be swallowed. I was forwarded a story about
a rescue boxer that died after swallowing socks. They do not show up on x-ray so
the poor dog died slowly from blockage and was unable to be saved when he was
finally operated on. Also when my Dice the rock swallower was in the hospital
after surgery I was told that swallowed objects and clothing are the second most
often surgery done after spay and neuter. Dice had another dog in at the same
time that had swallowed a whole pair of panty hose so a little sock is nothing
at all for one of our hounds to swallow. Good luck to everyone with the itchies.
also my vet said one 25mg Benadryl 3x a day Dice is about 62 lbs.
