<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>Linda,</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I personally blame growing up in a
puppymill and being overbred for many of the issues my
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>Nelly Belle has. Too many
pregnancies that caused her bladder muscles to weaken. Then
going</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>through a spay which can weaken those
muscles even more. Nelly Belle still is not 100% potty
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>trained after almost 2 years. If
her access to the dog door is blocked their will be a puddle. The
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>only safe place is the bedroom but only
because she has finally learned to "woof" me when she
needs</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>to potty at night. (This after me
standing at the gate and woofing for almost a year and a half when
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>she got up.) Sometimes I think that
her bladder is the size of a walnut with as many times as</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>she needs to go at night. Sometimes
she can go out and 15 minutes later she needs to go again.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I have great empathy for your Nelly
because I am faced with the same problem. It has taken
a</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>year for the docs to realize this was
caused by the Lyrica (for nerve pain). (Now that is a
bit</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>embarrassing to admit.) Have you
considered </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>a Urology
consult? There can be so many causes </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>for incontinence that your regular vet
may be </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>overlooking or he
may be looking for the quick fix</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>to help you with your frustration.
I would even be willing to donate toward t</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2
face=Antique>he cost of the consult. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>The solutions could
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>be as simple as medications, a
bladder lift or even a dog door. I know if I didn't </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>have a dog door
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>that Nelly Belle's nickname
would be Miss Puddles and I would be joining Debbie</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>and riding a mop instead of my
broom. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I know this is not an easy decision for
you or your husband but I am just asking that you please
just</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>take a </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT
size=2 face=Antique>step back and look at other possible solutions before you
break you make a decision that causes</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>such deep heartache for all of
you.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
