<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Dear Furends</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I just spoke to dadperson. After bargaining with
the girl of the specialist clinic, kindly searched and indicated by Little Angel
Michele Gaspar (if you live in Calgary, is always good to know a 24hs clinic so
there it goes : <FONT size=3>Western Veterinary Specialists are at 1802 10th
Avenue, SW in Calgary.) Dadperson took Xaxa to the emergency. They had him X-
rayed and there is a mass in his lungs which not necessarily means a bad
disease, so they said.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>The vet in there said it can even be a
cartilage grow. Helio (da dad) only left Xaxa there because the specialist will
be there early and because he comes from Emergency, he goes first and she is
booked solid until Wednesday, in that way tomorrow we can have a
diagnostic.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>Xaxa has had a heavy breath since we
rescued him and fell in love with him, 8 years ago when he was 7 years young(
foster failure in less than 12 hours in our home). And it has
progressed slowly in the last 8 years what let us believe it is nothing
aggressive. At least, that's what we want to believe.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>We decided if it is that bad
stuff, we will do nothing, just let he lives happily as he has as long as he is
not suffering which he seems not to be for now and try to manage the cough
during the night.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>If it something else we will decide as
we go. He has lived so far, happily 14 and 1/2 years and only the great energy
of the universe knows when his time comes. He has won the "older basset" at our
waddle this year and who knows, he will win one or two more.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>It just hurts so much the idea of his
absence because life is so much better around him. As Violeta did, he only added
happiness and love and laughter to our home.(he was left at the HS and they were
going to put him down if I didn't rescue him so of course I HAD to get him, this
sweet soul). And even when we and dadperson separated, they both continued to be
our kids and I was as present as I could and can.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>Tomorrow I will be there when Helio
arrives with him from the vet and prepare a very yummy dish of rice and ground
beef au garlic. He so deserves for a night at the vet.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>Please, could you all drool for him?
Human, basset, wannabee, we get it all.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>Prayers are appreciated
too.</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><FONT size=3>love you guys</FONT></FONT></DIV>
