It says in the Foster catalog that it does not work well in clay soils. I think we have clyy soil so I did not buy it. My father took a big oil drum, poked some holes in it with a bigger hole for the top. He buried it and made a long handled wooden plug that fit the top hole. We would put the poop in that. We had great looking flowers.<br> </body>
