He weighs in at 48 and he's on the almost sightly plump size. The vet thinks his ideal weight is 45 which seems awfully skinny to me. All the bassets I've seen are about 55+ when we attend the basset olympics or the basset picinics. He was also neutered at 5 yrs old (maybe 6 we are still debating his really age). </font><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial" size="2">When we got Shelby we got her at 38 lbs and quickly gained about 8 by the time she moved.
