<DIV>The weather was SO bad on Sunday....the Detroit Tigers cancelled their baseball game, the city of Birmingham cancelled their bassetless parade....but MBR???? WE WADDLED!!! That's right...windchill in MAY of 29 degrees plus non-stop RAIN and they came anyway! Basset people are The BEST! It was cold and miserable but they came, they smiled, they Waddled. We faced our worst nightmare and we survived....we didn't just survive, we succeeded at having one of our MOST successful Waddles in our 18 years of waddling. How can this be possible, you ask? Well we had an awesome group of volunteers along with VERY Generous guests. Many newcomers from America's east coast enjoyed their first Michigan Waddle. It was obvious they came prepared to help our homeless hounds in a BIG way! All hail Queen Xandy Bear and King Holly Noelle!! Poor things had to ride in the royal carriage in their birthday suits for fear of the rain ruining their very gorgeous robes and gowns. It's the first time EVER we've had royalty riding in the royal carriage in the BUFF...it was hard to tell who was king and who was queen!!!! (that's just not right :O( But the carriage was covered so they did stay warm and dry unlike their soaking wet and freezing subjects. </DIV>

<DIV>We SO enjoyed having you as our Waddle guests this year and we DO hope you'll come back to Michigan for Waddle 2012!!! We promise better weather!!! </DIV>
