I just wanted to give everyone an update on my friend Joe's basset, Delbert. He has some kind of a mass in his leg. The vet recommended surgery to remove the mass, which will take place some time next week. It's good news in a way because Joe was told previously that if it was cancer, all they could do was make Delbert comfortable, so we're hoping that the fact that they're moving forward with treatment might mean the situation is not as dire as we first thought. Please keep slinging drool for Delbert that the mass turns out to be just one of those weird, harmless things, and that he comes safely through the surgery, as he is no spring chicken! Delbert has always been a little on the stubborn, cranky side, so I imagine he will keep Joe on quite a short leash after the surgery. :-)

Thank you everybody!

--
Kalli
