<div>Well, our BaRCSE Lucy got to the vets today. She has infections everywhere....her ears, eyes and that awful patch on her back is an awful infection that was probably caused by an allergic reaction to exposure to something or to the fleas that she was infested with. Thank doG that she wasn't injured by being hit by a car or something awful like that like some of us were afraid might have happened. She has no other physical injuries, just massive infections everywhere. So Lucy has been shot with antibiotics and prednisone and will be on pills, ear drops and eye drops and lotions for a few weeks. I'm hoping that I'll be able to show all of you pictures of our beautiful red and white girl with a full body of fur before too long!</div>
<div> </div><div>I want to say a special thank you to Lucy's foster family. D and Don have three of our foster hounds with them right now. Lucy with her health problems, Clancy who came to us just about as thin as a dog can be and still be able to walk around plus he's heartworm positive and Copper who is also heartworm positive. They are one of our foster homes who are incredibly dedicated to the hounds and they do everything that they can do to save as many hounds as they can. I hope all of you foster homes who do what our BaRCSE families do know that there is a special place in heaven for all of you. D has been involved with BaRCSE since our beginning and has a dedication to basset hounds that I wish every rescue could clone. </div>
<div> </div><div>Thanks so much to all of you Droolers for your concern for Lucy and your support for BaRCSE. Lucy is being very well cared for and well loved by her foster family. I'll let you know when we have some more pictures of Lucy up on our site that will show you what a beauty queen this sweet girl is. </div>
