<DIV>I had a very successful spleen removal performed on one of my
males several years ago--he was about 10 at the time, and loved to be almost
14. He had a large tumor in his spleen, which ruptured just as the vet was
removing it. Vet said if he had not done the surgery, the dog would have
bled to death internally. I would certainly do the same thing again if
necessary.</DIV>
