Many years ago when I was the girlfriend of the guy with the basset hound (Sam, who was Addisonian and often on prednisone) (he's now the DH and we have our third and fourth bassets), bf was over with Sam one day before Christmas. We were going to be going to a large family holiday gathering and I had purchased a large (5 lb) box of See's (mmm!) Chocolates to take. Having a perfect boxer and chihuahua, I had stored the box under my bed... need I say more. Let me say that 80 lb Sam ingested about 1/3 of the chocolates, enough for him to vomit on every carpet in the house, all of which were ruined. So this girlfriend would like to say that she never made that mistake again, but Sam, then Jack, now Charlie and Lucy still find the occasional goody in a purse or pocket. (never under the bed, and never a box o' choc's!) Sammy even got our wedding cake!
