<DIV>Oh my what can I say, I believe my first basset wrote the book of rules for
picky eaters and we all obliged her every whim. she might eat off a dog dish and
then again maybe not, next came the dinner plate ( human ) of course, she would
eat off that for three or four days and then turn her nose up so we went
to a paper plate which she liked for a while and then it was eating out of our
hand but the one that took the cake was my husband laying on the dining room
floor feeding her off a spoon ! I had several pictures of that but after
my computer crashed last year I loss all of my pictures. yes she trained us
well.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have a very aggressive Basset who feels it is her job to protect her
mommy. she started at a very young age 4 months and has not looked
back, family she is ok with, but when we go for a walk or we are in the
car, she is extremely protective of me, I just said to my husband
yesterday about how nice it would be to go to a park and walk, it was a
beautiful day and LOTS of people were out walking in the park on the trails with
their dogs, not Bill and Marlene, oh No Annie would want to
attack and fight with every dog she saw. you would never guess that she
went through three different dog classes, but when she is around us or
Maggie Wags she is a marsh mellow, like Dr. Jerkily and Mr.
Hyde hat is why I call her Evil Anie I just can not trust her around
other dogs</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Annie got my husband and I up a total of 7 times Saturday night during the
night to go out and pee, so Sunday I got a urine sample and OH MY it was
full of dark brown blood and clots, if you all remember I just went through this
a couple months back when they put her on antibiotics and cranberry extract, I
demanded an X-Ray and it showed NO STONES, so fine , what do I know, well
over the weekend she started to display symptoms again and like I said she had
several clots in her urine, so the vet sent it out to day to have a complete
culture work up on it and he said something about the possibility of bladder
cancer, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is NOT the big
C, she just turned 4 on the 10th of OCT.in the meantime one of my
friends and a drooler suggested a Ultra sound, so we will do that after
the culture comes back , in the meantime I have to find a place that does
Ultra sounds close to my area.</DIV>

<DIV>My youngest son asked if he could borrow my car today, he is having new
brake lines put on his honda, so I go over to pick him up and of course my girls
just love their brother Joel. so Joel gets in the passenger seat and
Maggie is standing on the center counsel and she has her nose right in Joels
face, Joel said " mom, what does she want ? bwahahaha ?
I said she wants a KISS, he is stunned, REALLY ? yes Joel, she wants
a kiss, so he kissed her on top of her head and I said NO JOEL she
wants you to kiss her on the lips the dumb look on his face was worth a good
belly laugh ! He said " MOM there is NO way I am going to kiss this
dog on the lips ! and then he asked DO you kiss her on
the lips and I said Hell yes Joel ! not right after she has
licked her butt, I usually wait a little while, but yes I kiss her every
night at bedtime, the horrified look on his face , I was always really
goood at convincing my kids that there was a man living in the moon and that he
ate blue cheese ! I tried to hug him and give him a kiss when he dropped
me off, but he wouldn't kiss me bwahahahahahah !!!!!!</DIV>
