<div>Well Droolers, as you know, my last foster, Mugsy, has found his wonderful forever home. He is Mr. Social, greeted tons of trick or treaters the other night, and is wonderful with the grandkids. He's even helped his new brother to regain his voice (which had been lost from his past abuse). Arooooo! I am so happy for him & he is in houndie heaven! Well, my little Quincy has sure been lonely since Mugsy left (much to the chagrin his 11-year-old sister, Cleo, and 14-year-old cat, Milo). And Quincy is a dog that has to "feed that need" to play, a lot! </div>

<div>Well, low and behold, I get a message from Chris at WMBRI and two little 3-year-old sisters were taken to the local shelter by their owner and left. Apparently, this person got a promotion and has to travel more and just can't take care of them, blah, blah, blah. Now, I understand that life things happen and situations change. But what I DON'T understand is how you can have 2 beautiful little girls from puppyhood and have them for 3 years and then just take them to a shelter!!! Now granted, that is much better than dumping them out somewhere or other things, but to me, it would be like taking 2 little kids to a shopping mall and leaving them there among strangers. But then, I guess not everyone is as dedicated a pet parent as me and all you Droolers (thank goodness for us, eh?). </div>

<div>Long story short (yeah, I'm blabby), this weekend I am picking up both, yes BOTH, of these sisters and bringing them home to foster. I may need my head examined because I've now upped the ante from 3 to 4, but what the hell. You never know until you try and Bassets are kind of like Lay's potato chips. Betcha can't have just one. They're smaller in size, more like French Bassets, but Chris said they're both little chunky butts. And they look almost identical to my Cleo when I first got her. In fact, one of them is named Cleo, so I'll now have Cleo 1 & Cleo 2, and the other girl is Ann. I'm sure within a week I'll have nicknames for them both. SO please keep your fingers crossed that everyone gets along & everything goes well. Quincy will be in play heaven & Cleo & Milo will be greatly relieved!!! I'll keep you posted. I put their pictures on Facebook.</div>

<div>Sending tons of drool to those with sick babies and those who have lost their loved ones. I can't wait to hear more stories about Nigel & his new wheels. Now wouldn't that make a great children's book. Nascar Nigel gets his wheels. </div>
