<DIV>I’ve been reading the Christmas thread and just had to share. One of
my absolute favorite memories of my Harry was our Christmastime together.
You see, he had a very special talent. Harry got, every year, a stocking
filled with goodies. Not that unusual, except for the fact that everything
in the stocking was wrapped. Sometimes even boxed and wrapped. And
on every Christmas morning, even after my daughter was born and old enough to
open gifts, Harry HAD to have his stocking first. He would make quite the
fuss and would not let any of us settle in to open our things until he got his
stocking. And then, the magic. Harry would take out each item, one
by one, and open it. He would pin the gift under one paw and tear it open
with his teeth. One by one. His nose getting deeper into the
stocking with each present. After every last gift was out and unwrapped,
he would nose threw his pile and pull out his favorite, usually a stuffy or a
bone, and run through the house in sheer joy. I cannot remember those
images without a smile on my face. People didn’t believe us, so they would
bring by mini stocking filled with gifts just to see it happen. Of course
we also videoed it. Americas Funniest Home Videos has nothing on us.</DIV>

<DIV>I’m hoping there are stockings hanging on the rainbow up there at the
bridge. I cannot imagine my boy this holiday season without his
stocking. </DIV>
