I had just sauntered over to a link from a facebook comment re Modern Dog Magazine, and went to the shopping section, clicked on Bauer pottery and saw some pretty dog bowls in great colors: here is the link. They have specifically designed bowls for long eared dogs. They are ceramic though and $38 apiece. So if they don't get knocked around too badly they will last and should be very cleanable. Don't know if they're stoneware or not.
