He was brave through the tumor removal and we thought we would have a year or more of belly rubs and waggy tails, but the cancer had other ideas.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The tumor came back with a vengeance but he stayed with us as long as he could. Until this weekend his spirit was strong and his wagging tail and happy bark welcomed us home.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Our Homer came to us from rescue 6 years ago terrified of men, sudden movements and loud voices.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>It didn’t take long for him to realize that if he rolled over in front of just about anyone they would oblige and give him a belly rub. He learned to love everyone.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Today we set him free, and I am sure he will be digging holes and barking like crazy at all the goings on at the bridge in no time.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Elder Clara you are going to need a sound proof cloud for this one! You are pain free my love. We will meet again.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Your basset sister Chompers left us in July and she is waiting to welcome you.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We love you both and miss you terribly.</SPAN> </DIV>
