Hi all,<div><br></div><div>When Paddi B was a puppy, I made her a bed. It's actually an old pillow (regular bed sized) and I made a cover for it from an old couch throw. </div><div><br></div><div>I have never had luck installing zippers, so I made the cover without. What I did was:</div>
<div>1. Cut one rectangle of fabric slightly larger than the pillow.</div><div>2. Cut another rectangle the same width as the pillow, and about a foot longer.</div><div>3. Cut the longer rectangle in half, and hem the cut edges.</div>
<div>4. Place the uncut rectangle good side up on the floor/table</div><div>5. Place the first of the cut pieces, good side down, on top of the full-size piece, lining it up at the end.</div><div>6. Place the second of the cut pieces, good side down, on top of the full-size piece, lining it up at the other end.</div>
<div>7. Sew around the outside of the rectangle. Just zoom right on over the short pieces.</div><div>8. Turn the resulting object right side out. </div><div><br></div><div>The pillow slips right inside, Paddi at least never removed it and it's super-easy to take the cover off. I think a lot of pillow shams are made this way, so if my instructions are completely incomprehensible, look at a pillow sham!</div>
<div><br></div><div>Mary, and Paddi B, who still likes her pillow. And Vern likes his, too.</div>
