<DIV>I would suggest having your girl checked for a fungal infection on her
skin--this is one of the things that can cause unpleasant odors on your basset's
skin. It is sometimes hard to diagnose. You might try washing her in
an anti-fungal shampoo, and rinsing her in apple cider vinegar. This has
helped with a couple of mine who have developed a skin fungus.</DIV>
