having seizures and yes I was suppose to give them Diazepam generic for Valium
one tablet every 5 minutes up to three. I had tablets not syringes and I
would give them at the first sign of a seizure not wait 3 minutes. Although a
tablet would work slower. </FONT></DIV>

was draw blood. One basset ended up having low thyroid and once we got him the
right dose of thyroid medicine his seizures stopped he might have one every two
years but we checked his thyroid level every six months to adjust the
medication. He lived another 7 years with no problems I kept the Valium on hand
just in case. </FONT></DIV>

Diazepam did not help so much he had to be put on a daily dose of Phenobarbitol.
Because his turned out to be doggy epilepsy. My vet gave me a script to take to
Wal Mart and the phenobarnbitol only cost me around $8.00 a month from Wal Mart.
He was adopted and is still doing very well. </FONT></DIV>
