Washington Basset Rescue (WABR) was contact'd today & based on current circumstances, we're unable to take-in these dogs. There's female (Suzy) & male (Fred), both age 12yrs. Their owner is elderly man who was just released frm hospital into physical rehab & will not be coming hm for awhile (ironically)... then doubtful he may be able to care for them. The dogs are being boarded & I was contact'd by local groomer (on behalf of owner) willing to help transport SUN or MON (days she's clsd for biz) in her Tahoe. The groomer does NOT have email, only phn. I felt AWFUL we couldn't take these fur-kids & promised to "put
