This sounds like a dog I had years ago named Winnie. Although not a
basset hound, she was always on the go, always chewing on things and never
settled. A wise person at a pet food store told me I should try changing
her food, that maybe her behavior was due to food allergies. I tried this
as a last resort and when I found the right food, believe it or not it was
if someone flipped a switch. My ADD dog became calm. This may help
or may not. Worth exploring.

particularly those who are grieving a loved one furry or otherwise. ?May you
find comfort in happy memories you shares together with your loved ones furry
and human.
Second please help..Hubert is 8 months old and has decided that
the night time is the right time to PARTY! I am not kidding when I say we have
not slept in 2 weeks. ?We crate..he cries, thumps, belts out high pitched
yelps, and plays the bars on his crate like a zylaphone..all night. We have
tried taking him out of the crate,,,he will not sleep on his bed. He wanders
the house looking for items to grab. ?We have tried putting him in bed with
us...I was sure this would meet with his approval..nope...he refuses to settle
and ultimately jumps off the bed in search of more fun. ?He seems to nap a few
hours at a time during the day. ?We have tried to keep him active during the
day...I even walk/run 5 K with him in the evening...nadda...nothing...we are
still up at 2 AM. ?Hubert is not crated during the day, and someone is always
home.. ?He has frequent walks and play time. Anybody have any ideas...I am
sleep deprived.

Kris ( I hope I make it through my day at
work)
Hubert ( The nighttime is the right time...party on...who needs
