I just figured out this morning what happened with my pack back in July.</div><div><br></div><div>Back in mid July Snoopy got so sick, he was just vomiting and couldn't stop and I was on the phone with the emergency vet when I finally got him up on the couch and settled with me. Then he got diarrhea. LuLu got sick next but she never vomited and only had diarrhea for one day. Cyrus got sick next, we lost him within 24 hrs of getting sick. When I found him in the morning there was some blood at his hind end.</div><div><br></div><div>Now I finaly understand what happened. When we pulled LuLu from the pound they gave her a distermper vaccine and then two months later they boosted her because they didn't know her history and
she looked pretty rough. I just called the vet about Parvo vaccine and was told it is in their distemper shot. LuLu had the most immunity because they'd just double dosed her. Snoopy had the next highest because he'd had the 3 year shot in January (this was July). Cyrus was nearly nine and working on a 2 year old shot and it didn't protect him enough and it looks like Parvo took him from me.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway my vet said the Parvo is in the distemper so as long as they are current on that it should be all good. But, like Marie said, all 3 of mine got sick anyway. And the one who was nearly 9 couldn't handle it even with the vaccine.</div><div><br></div><div>Of course, when it's their time, it's their time, just like us there is only so much we can do to protect them.</div><div><br></div><div>Hug your fur babies,</div><div>Dale</div><div style="position:fixed"></div>
