<DIV>Someone out there in Basset land, there is a Drooler who, by an act of 

kindness to a stranger, helped this Grinchey heart grow three sizes today.  

I received the 2013 calendar and spent 30 minutes looking at every page.  

The beautiful faces of those we love so much.  Including my Harry, who’s 

handsome face is on April 28th.  I have not been able to afford a calendar 

in over 5 years now.....just not an expense I can justify treating myself to 

when I have a daughter to care for.  But someone out there decided to be my 

Secret Santa this year, and I am forever grateful.  I sit here with tears 

in my eyes, so happy to be part of a community that is full of such kind and 

caring people.  This will be my second Christmas without my boy, and the 

ache is still fresh.  I unpacked his stocking over the weekend....still 

full of notes that I wrote to him over the course of the season last year.  

I am still not ready to welcome a dog into my home, so I will spend another 

Christmas missing my Harry and hoping that maybe, just maybe, this heart will 

heal enough over next year to perhaps take that leap again.  Until then, I 

will enjoy sharing a piece of each of your Bassets every single day next 

year.  </DIV>
