<DIV>I want to Thank so many of you for writing to me with words of
encouragement for my Maggie and also for me. I have decided to home
cook for my Maggie Venison & sweet potatoes only the vet
also changed her medication and we are giving her baths with allergroom
shampoo. I think I am seeing a slight inprovement, but not really
maybe my imagination, she has a real nasty sore on the underside of her
tail, I have been trying to put antibiotic cream on it, but she doesn't
like me touching it, I talked to the vet today and we are going in
tomorrow for Dr. Melanie to look at it, </DIV>

her, very sweet, buuuuuuttttttttt she is sick the
shelter has had her for three weeks, owner relinquished along with a
Basset hound. and she has Diarrhea and pooping blood lots of
blood, the tech told my son that they didn't know what was wrong with
her, maybe food change ?????? he said she tested negative for parvo
!!! maybe colitis ????? they just dont know . they got pissed off
when my son asked WHY would you run an ad in the paper for adoption
if she is sick with diarrhea and pooping blood ??????? he said
he actually had poop on his hand and jeans where she leaned up against
him, he felt so bad leaving her in those horrible
conditions.he felt like he was turning his back on a best friend of
course I shot an e mail off to the Dog Wardens office asking WHY this dog was so
sick , why did she have fecal matter all over her and why were they trying to
adopt out a sick dog ???????? NO REPLY !!!!!!!!

<DIV>To the drooler who wrote in asking what to do for her dogs
allergies, try getting your vet to give you a script for
Hydoxyzine or you can do 2 Benadryl three times a day and
BATHS lots of Baths at east 2 to 3 a week I also
use a special conditioner called Resicort ( from your vet ) along
with Humilac mixed with distilled water mix it in a plastic spray
bottle and you can use this up to 2 times a day I use GOLD BOND cream on
her arm pits, just rub it in real good, I also have Maggie on Antibiotics
for a skin infection, try putting baby socks on her back feet to stop the
scratching, you can e mail me privately if you need more info</DIV>
