<DIV> Becky, I have taken Maggie to see a specialist, I
was told that they were very expensive, (they are) !!!!! and that
they probably would tell me the exact same thing as my regular vet ( which
they did ) and they wanted to perform the same allergy test ( I said
NO ) </DIV>
<DIV>here is what worked for us. we stopped all DOG FOOD even the
hyperallergenic kind, NO DOG FOOD or TREATS, we went to HOME
cooking, ONE meat protien RABBIT or VENISON and ONE
carbohydrate SWEET POTATOES that's IT,, NO vitamins , no Minerals NO
nothing !!!!! sometimes the dog is not allergic to the dog food as
they are allergic to one or more additives, vitamins, minerals , etc.</DIV>
<DIV>go with just ONE protien and ONE carbohydrate for TWO weeks and see
if it helps.</DIV>
<DIV>Maggie grew back all her hair and she is down to one bath every three weeks
compared to three baths a week, Maggie was on all kinds of different kinds
of antibiotics ( Baytril, cephalexin, Zeniquin, you name it we tried
it. Dr. Melanie finally put her on Clyndamycin ( which is NOT
normally used for skin infections ) but it did the trick she cleared
right up. I also have a spray solution that I have to make up ,
1 OZ Resicort, plus1 OZ Humilac with 4 OZ of distilled
water and I sprayed her with that twice a day or you dab it on with a
cotton ball</DIV>
