He is a Bagel, but mostly Basset, in my eyes. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#76923C'>He is settling in just great and gets along with everyone very well. Delta Burke is being a bit crabby towards him, but that is <o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#76923C'>her way. He came to us from a central FLA shelter, some nice folks with Suncoast Basset Rescue helped in getting him here. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#76923C'>After a visit to the vet, we found out he has congestive heart failure, his heart is enlarged. We have started him on a few different meds to help and I added in some CoQ10. I think he is not coughing as much, but still hope to get that improved. You can see on his x-rays where his heart presses on his trachea some. He is so very sweet, not sure how he ended up in animal services, but we are lucky to get him. The first few days he did not want to stay inside and after finding him asleep outside when I woke up, we decided to shut the dog door at night. I guess he figured out it was ok to be an inside hound as now he is more comfortable inside. It broke my heart to know he went out and curled up to sleep.
