Colt & Ruger do not lift their legs to pee
either. Never have...at least that I have ever seen and I have had them
since they were 8 week old buppies. Both of them sniff to find a good spot
to pee, plant their back feet and take a step or so with their front feet to
stretch out and then do a slight little squat/back sway and let it flow.
Thinking back I don't remember any of my male bassets lifting their legs to
pee. Only Comanche ATB every lifted a leg to mark a mailbox post
or two on walks. But when he would go out to the backyard to pee he
used the body stretch to pee. When I worked at doggie daycare a lot of
male dogs didn't lift legs to pee...seemed like only the "markers" lifted legs
to pee. (Markers: dogs that have to mark territory or leave their calling
card everywhere on everything) Markers would spend their first 10 minutes at
daycare going around the yard to pee on anything that stuck up out of the yard
more than a few inches. (the play bridge, the tunnel, the concrete table and
benches etc) We had a female boxer that would squat and then left a leg to
pee...she was also a marker and would mark/pee over anyone else's pee. She
was a self proclaimed yard alpha.

seen. Momma has been having sciatica problems and our Dadperson has
had numerous injuries over his military career as a
pararescueman. Dad is now going to the Andrews Institute in Gulf
Breeze (where all the pro athletes go) for a special "Eagle
Fund". High speed physical threrpy where they are bringing in combat
wounded or injured through training or just years of abusing the body to help
rehabilitate our soldiers and either to return them to duty or at least give
them a better quality of life by increasing mobility and decreasing pain. It is
a wonderful program. Anyhowl take care of your humans! Paw bumps and
