<div dir="ltr">Ahoy Bassetville Acres--Adm. sends Naval Drool and big basset belly rubs to Bassetville Acres brigade; Adm. wishes Hounds Majestic were granted permanent patrol. Never has figured out why tours of duty end, but, as Adm. says, that question is definitely above his pay grade. <div>
<br></div><div>Houndservant does not attempt to understand either, simply notes that Leftenant's first tour of duty ended in just 2 months when Sir Percival CB (ClownBasset, also commissioned by HMS, Golden Gate Basset Rescue) died in the field, of bloat. Terrible shock; Sir Percival CB was a young and virile Knight Errant.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Houndservant grateful for reassignment under Adm. JED, and hopes that in due time, Sweet Sara Lea will send her replacement. I was told Sir Percy would send his, and the Adm. took command.<div><br></div>
<div>Ahoy Houndservant Elizabeth--Adm. deeply relieved to hear of good field report on Warrior Queen Elsinore recovery! (Agrees that ship's medics often obtuse.) Examples of courage always needed in the field, Warrior Queen a supreme example. Wonders if part of the won't eat/oh ick problem (which seems to be on the mend) is good old fashioned supreme stress. On hound and houndservant alike.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Other news from the Sonoma Admiralty: Adm. JED did not send orders demoting Houndservant to galley slave to PBF after the "bloody hot" GGBR Adoption Event Tour of Duty. </div><div><br></div><div>
Houndservant not surprised. </div><div><br></div><div>Only Houndservant can get into the Galley. This irks Adm. JED to no end.</div><div><br></div><div>Leftenant Lea Pierce, Houndservant to Adm. JED "Snatch" Basset</div>
