
<html><head><style type='text/css'>p { margin: 0; }</style></head><body><div style='font-family: verdana,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000'><P>Cecilia has had a sebaceous cyst on the back of her neck for over a year. About a month ago it suddenly erupted. I say erupted because it looks like an open volcano and spewed gunk like one. Yuck. What a mess! I'm sure there are many of you who have dealt with this situation but, until now, I've never seen one like this one. She's been on antibiotics for 2 weeks and it appeared to be healing from the inside out. We continued to apply Neosporin and keep it clean. Day before yesterday she yelped when I touched it. It had filled with pus and blood again and was sore again. I cleaned it and applied more Neosporin. It is quite ugly and I'm thinking it's gone deeper inside. She has an appointment tomorrow morning at 10:30 at our vet to take a look at it and possibly have it removed. Even though she's had no problem with anesthesia up to now, she is 12 1/2 and I am worried about her having another surgery. A little extra drool couldn't hurt. I'll be sure to let you know how things go tomorrow.</P>
