<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif">Dale, cysts are just pockets which fill with gunk, be it blood, oily matter or infection. When they rupture and drain they shrink in size and eventually heal. That being said, however, if the cyst itself isn't removed but just ruptures (or is lanced by the vet) the potential for it to fill again with yucky stuff exists. The only surefire way to stop the problem is to remove it completely. In Gracie's case, you're probably doing the best for her that you can considering the location by simply keeping an eye on it in case it gets larger, or if it opens, letting it drain and keeping it clean so it doesn't get infected. Trust me, if it's infected you'll know...by the look and smell of it. Those usually require oral antibiotics. </div>

To see her now you'd never know. It's amazing what love and care does, isn't it?</div>
