So it well may be that your dogs are picking out as much by color as texture (which I suspect plays a huge role in toy preference-- a fuzzy toy, imitating a real prey which their hardwiring would recognize, is preferable to something smooth. Hard rubber toys are usually infused with a smell to make them more attractive altho the bouncy play on the teeth may trigger some prey drive.)</div>
