We got to see Dawn of the West, meet some nice people, even more nice hounds, buy raffle tickets and spend a little time with Synthia and her pack. Samson, Kahuna, Zuma, Tucker and Charm were very gracious about accepting cookies. Synthia introduced me to them and we took turns taking pictures of each other. She smiled between daWn and I in a shot that is on the Daphneyland Website. It wasn't until the following Monday morning that daWn wrote there was trouble in houndie paradise. Many of us followed her interesting path across country with curiosity. I was very lucky to pet them and meet Synthia. While I thought we were largely having fun and daWn was remembering her friend, Jill, Synthia had already calculated surrendering the four footers. She was smart, well organized and had a goal. Charm is a sweet fluffy dog who Synthia said was a basset poodle. ....and dear little Tucker who wears his special pants and is the cutest thing on four paws. Samson, The big Saint Bernard has a new family to be.
