<div data-externalstyle="false" dir="ltr" style="font-family: 'Calibri', 'Segoe UI', 'Meiryo', 'Microsoft YaHei UI', 'Microsoft JhengHei UI', 'Malgun Gothic', 'sans-serif';font-size:12pt;"><div>On the three issues raised…no answer for #1, as that’s not a problem here; #2 sound like typical “nesting” behavior, where the dog makes a “nest”…this is not confined to Bassets; lots of dogs do this, and if an inexpensive kitchen or bathroom rug mat (or, as Dale suggests, a blanket) is placed in the desired location, the “nesting” is usually transferred to the mat or blanket; on #3, after TWO YEARS of constantly shooing a Basset off the sofa, I gave up and got a washable cover for the sofa. Sofa is protected. Dog is happy. And when guests come over, the cover comes off, and with quick brushes from a pet-hair roller and a few sprays of Febreze, the sofa’s in good shape for human company.</div><div><br></div><div>P.S.
