My theory of Bassets is, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Unless there is a compelling reason for Zeke to sit I wouldn't try to teach him to do it.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small">I would, however, have his belly xrayed and palpated by a Vet to see whether he has pain and if so why. I really would have it checked out.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small">It may be as simple as that the pain he experienced when bloating taught him not to sit, and he might get over that, but I would want to be sure.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif;font-size:small">Just my opinion, it's what I would do if he were my dog.
