It doesn't say "ATB" because, well, you know.<br>

We said goodbye to him in April at the age of 14. It was truly the end of an era.<br>
<br>
He was not our first Basset nor our last, but he was the most loving and devoted dog I've ever known.<br>
<br>
I miss you every day, D-Man, and will see you again someday.<br>

We have a new problem with our three bassets' brother, a German shepherd mix we found after he had just been hit by a car. Chance was only a couple of months old then, but now he's probably a year and a half.<br>
<br>
Chance has started marking/peeing slightly on stuff: first the plants on the patio, then the legs of our patio chairs. Now he has graduated to peeing on a long-skirted table in the kitchen! I was on the floor mopping and first noticed it. I took off the table skirt, washed it, dried it, put it back on, and he did it AGAIN. Took it off, repeated the process, he squirted it again.<br>
<br>
I chased him down, fussed at him and swatted his behind. Does anyone have advice on this? I'm worried that he'll pee on the sofa or something else upholstered next! We already had him neutered at a young age.<br>
<br>
Beau, our boy basset, doesn't hike his leg, so I don't know about all this. I think it must have something to do with reaching adulthood or something. Help! We need advice.<br>

My beagle, Heidi, had vestibular disease. The first time it happened, it was very scary. The vet gave her meds and said she would recover in about 3 weeks. She did recover but about 12 months later she had another bout of vestibular. I searched the web for info and stumbled on a supplement for dogs called NuVet Plus. I gave it to her religiously and she never had another bout of vestibular disease after starting the NuVet Plus and lived to be 16.5 years old. Heidi was proof that it did work for her. Here is the link with info in case anyone would like to try it. I purchased my Nuvet Plus from Nuvet.com., the Nuvet.com link shows the ingredients in the product. Hi All. I think Snoopy is right. Browyn has decided she wants to be alpha<br>
over Bugsey. The twit. Everything was so nice before she decided this.<br>
Well, I am making small changes to deal with this. She is now getting her<br>
medicine before Bugsey and she is getting the same number of "pill pockets"<br>
as the boys. This has eliminated her trying to steal Bugsey's medicine out<br>
of his mouth. I know. Not the brightest thing to do. Anyway, she now gets<br>
her wads of dough and she walks off. This has stopped the fight in the<br>
moring and just before we go to bed. Plus I took away the green ball. I<br>
substituted a different glow in the dark ball, but it doesn't bounce as<br>
much as the green ball. Why? Well, she was getting too good at hitting<br>
Bugsey in the head with the ball when he was quietly sleeping on the couch.<br>
Plus, I am giving Browyn more loving time. All of it seems to be helping.<br>
Bugsey is also getting Aunt Sandy drops. Knockon wood. So far it is all<br>
working.<br>
