Hi Drool family,

I've noticed something lately. I can look at male Basset Hounds that are disabled, or hurt, and need help, or are sick and it doesn't bring me to tears.

I tried to watch the video of Lucy, from Suncoast Basset Hound Rescue, and I just start crying. It's not just Lucy, it's other female Bassets as well. Babers had been abused in ways that no Basset Hound should be. I just know how hard she tried, and how long it took her to come out of her shell.

All of the males I've ever had were ready to be loved. Even Arnie, who had so many health problems because someone kept him in a cafe for most of his life, warmed tight up. a Boomer adored attention, and so does Fletcher.

I know the day will come that I can have another girl, or will it?

Hope everyone in hurricane areas is safe, and has what they need.
