He is 13 and has extreme weakness in his hind legs, he spends alot of time laying down and usually in a place where everyone needs to get through. I have 3 other dogs. Abe has always been grumpy but has become mean. First he would just woof if he perceived another dog being to close to him. I felt he was just afraid of someone stepping on him or bumping him causing pain. No he just lays threr and growls and bares his teeth. He probably can't move fast enough to actually attack the other dogs but my Buster is so afraid of him he literally sits in another room and just cowers. It's so sad. I have to stand in front of Abe and body block him so Buster feels confidant enough to run by him.</span></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1486650044965_8831"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1486650044965_8831"><span id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1486650044965_8961">You said Jeff is going after your cocker, is he actually biting or making contact with the cocker. If the cocker is impaired he/she may be getting to close to Jeff and he is anticipating pain, just like my Abe. You might try crating Jeff which will also be good for his limb weakness. Does he tolerate being crated. Also check with your vet maybe it's a side effect of the medication he is on for the cushings.
