<p>I'm writing this today hoping it will come up tomorrow. August 17, 2002 Janie Anne was born. She was my best friend and the most wonderful dog I have ever known. I put this picture on the calendar with the greatest hopes that she would be here with me
to celebrate her 15th Birthday. As you all know, our prayers, hopes and dreams don't always come true. Janie had to leave me back in January, just 2 months after her Sister, Siobhan left.</p>
<p>Janie's picture had been taken a few years ago and I always loved it. It represented to me her love of life and her free spirit that most Bassets have. Now that she has gone before me to the Rainbow Bridge, I can feel comfort, knowing that she is young,
happy and healthy, there in Heaven with her Sister and all the wonderful, great Bassets who will watch over her and protect her till I come to meet her again.</p>
<p>My "Girls" didn't forget me and sent me Lilly Dawn to help lessen my pain and loneliness, Thank you, my little Sweethearts!</p>
<p>I know so many of you have gone through this ordeal and hopefully you will sympathize with me.</p>
<p>Please, for my "Girls", Janie Anne and Siobhan, give your wonderful pups an extra hug and kiss, they are too special not to.</p>
