I thought I would first thank all who wrote with words of encouragement and help last month when I got the soul crushing diagnose of Sophie's lymphoma. </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr">I've decided due to her advanced years (11) to not do chemo on her, something that met with disapproval from all medical sources, with the exception of one. He also didn't think it was the right thing to do, and wanted to work with her, so tomorrow is our first visit with him. It's not our first visit with him, but I like to keep more than one vet around. </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr">She is currently on Predisone, antibiotics, and eye drops so to prevent glaucoma from setting in. I cook food for her, and run it threw the food processor so I can work in things (like broccoli and spinach) that she wouldn't eat if I didn't grind it in. She is getting a bit spoiled with all the extra snacks, which are actually just hidden pills. I've read that cancer loves all grains, so these things are absent in her mix. As suggested by some of the kind souls that wrote, I made her a concoction called Golden Paste, which must be hidden in a piece of lunch meat, she sniffed this out in her food, and gave me stink eye. And also CBD oil. This is some good stuff, and I've even taken some myself, and it's helped a great deal with the pain in my hands (which I have pushed to their limits thew the years). And......have something called K9 Immunity ordered, which has yet to arrive (totally taking forever). </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr">Has it all helped? Indeed it has. She is quite looking bright eyed and bushy tailed, alert, and acting more like her old self. I know the cancer is never going to go away, but am hoping some quality of life is possible, and don't wish to torture her with the chemo.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1512280421529_42226" dir="ltr">So again, a sincere thank you to all who wrote.
