When I joined I had just adopted a two-year-old basset hound and as a life-long dog owner couldn't understand why this dog just didn't respond the way all my other dogs had......</div><div><br></div><div>Here I am, 11 years later, a totally devoted basset slave, and the naughty boy who came home from the pound is snoring at my feet, while his sister sleeps in another room.</div><div><br></div><div>Rolph has grown into my heart dog and as his health has failed over the past couple of years I have had to face the reality he won't be with me forever.</div><div><br></div><div>Clara, who is six months older than Rolph, enjoyed rude health, until December, except a small heart murmur, when she had a vestibular attack. Although almost completely recovered (thank doG) the vet says she is still not quite well enough to risk having a much-needed dental to remove an abscessed tooth. </div><div><br></div><div>However, Tomorrow, Tuesday, Rolph will be going in for a de-scale and polish and while he's under a large and worrying lump is being removed from his leg.</div><div><br></div><div>Please keep us all in your thoughts while this goes ahead.</div><div><br></div><div>Sally, with Rolph and Clara, UK</div></div></body></html>
