Snoopy has caused them on poor Gracie when he was pulling her ears on a regular basis (that was years ago). Snoopy had one once or twice too. I used ice a couple times a day to relieve swelling and they resolved ........ most of them were smaller in diameter then a golf ball and lasted only a week or two ..... Snoopy had one that was bigger then that one time and it slowly grew smaller until it was gone. I'd go by size and also if it seems to bother Ipo ...... Gracie didn't care and Snoopy did ..... but his was bigger ...... I did show Snoopy's to the vet and she said she didn't want to mess with it unless it stopped improving.</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1531517373005_35921" dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1531517373005_35921" dir="ltr"><span>Good luck,</span></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1531517373005_35921" dir="ltr"><span>Dale</span></div> <div class="qtdSeparateBR"><br><br></div><div class="yahoo_quoted" style="display: block;"> <div style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;"> <div style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;"> <div dir="ltr"><font size="2" face="Arial"> On Friday, July 13, 2018 2:43 PM, Val lbrewerzwick via Dailydrool <dailydrool@lists.dailydrool.org> wrote:<br></font></div> <br><br> <div class="y_msg_container"><div dir="ltr">The DAILY DROOL<br></div><div dir="ltr">An internet mail list designed to<br></div><div dir="ltr">entertain and inform basset hounds<br></div><div dir="ltr">and their people.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">------------------------------------------<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr"> ----<br></div><div dir="ltr"> / \__<br></div><div dir="ltr">|\ / @ \<br></div><div dir="ltr">\ \_______| \ .: O<br></div><div dir="ltr"> \ ##| | \__/<br></div><div dir="ltr"> | ####\__/ \<br></div><div dir="ltr"> / / ## \|<br></div><div dir="ltr"> / /__________\ \<br></div><div dir="ltr"> L_JJ \__JJ<br></div><div dir="ltr">-----------------------------<br></div><div dir="ltr">***Secret Pawtner Info***<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://lists.dailydrool.org/listinfo.cgi/secretpawtner-dailydrool.org" target="_blank">http://lists.dailydrool.org/listinfo.cgi/secretpawtner-dailydrool.org</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Daily Drool Website:<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://www.dailydrool.com/" target="_blank">http://www.dailydrool.com</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Vote for Basset of the Week: <a href="http://www.dailydrool.com/botw.html" target="_blank">http://www.dailydrool.com/botw.html</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Dictionary of Common Drool Terminology:<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://mysite.verizon.net/msrandolph/" target="_blank">http://mysite.verizon.net/msrandolph/</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Daily Drool Archives:<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://lists.dailydrool.org/pipermail/dailydrool-dailydrool.org/" target="_blank">http://lists.dailydrool.org/pipermail/dailydrool-dailydrool.org/</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Old Daily Drool Archives:<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://oldarchives.dailydrool.org/dailydrool/" target="_blank">http://oldarchives.dailydrool.org/dailydrool/</a><br></div><div dir="ltr">One of my dogs (Ipo) woke up with a hematoma in one ear this morning (collection of blood between the front and back skin of the ear. I gather from the Internet that there ate three ways to treat these—1. leave them alone entirely and they will dissolve in about two weeks, but may cause some cauliflowering of the ear, 2. Have a vet suck the blood from the ear with a needle, or 3. Have a vet make a surgical incision, drIn the blood and then stitch the ear. Have any other droolers dealt with these? If so, which option did you choose? Unfortunately, we are supposed to catch a plane to Oahu in a couple of hours for the weekend, so a vet appt. would need to be Monday earliest (unless there is an emergency, in which the kennel would handle with our vet). Ipo does not seem to be in pain unless someone rubs that ear. Advice, please. thank you, Val<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Val Brewer<br></div><div dir="ltr">_______________________________________________<br></div><div dir="ltr">Dailydrool mailing list<br></div><div dir="ltr"><a ymailto="mailto:Dailydrool@lists.dailydrool.org" href="mailto:Dailydrool@lists.dailydrool.org">Dailydrool@lists.dailydrool.org</a><br></div><div dir="ltr"><a href="http://lists.dailydrool.org/listinfo.cgi/dailydrool-dailydrool.org" target="_blank">http://lists.dailydrool.org/listinfo.cgi/dailydrool-dailydrool.org</a><br></div><br><br></div> </div> </div> </div></div></body></html>
