Pat Alton (ATB) decided with her first litter to name the litters alphabetically. So the first litter was the “A” litter and all of their names started with the letter A. My Abigail (Abby) was part of that first litter and that was how I met Pat. I helped Pat come up with names for the second (B) litter but I didn’t have any of those dogs. The “C” litter brought me my first two show dogs GCH Red Bay Court Jester (Jesse) and CH Red Bay Cash Advance (Cash) who was my son’s dog (hence the name). From that point on, Pat and/or I had at least one pup from each of the succeeding litters, with the “I” litter which was a singleton. That boy Red Bay I’m Just a Vagabond Lover (Rudy) went to Marilyn Deucher (ATB). So here is a run down (from memory only because I don’t want to dig out records) of some of the more memorable names … I am leaving off the kennel name but all names were preceded by Red Bay. Blushing Roxanne – Roxanne (she was a GREAT agility dog who lived in California), Betsy (who stepped up to raise a litter after we lost a momma 3 days after a litter was born), Court Jester (Jesse), Cash Advance (Cash), Crown Jewel (Julie); Densmore (Morey), Desert Rose (Rosie), DeJeVu (Daisy), Dudley, Davey; EmmyLou; then the FAMOUS F litter born on Christmas Day: Father Christmas (Nick), Fancy Ribbons (Fancy), Familiar Carols (Carrie), First Noel (Noel), Festive Holiday (Holly), FaLaLa (Decker); Great Expectations (Grady), Goodness Gracious (Gracie), Gossip Columnist (Gabby); Heart and Soul (Hoagie), Heart’s Desire (Desi); I’m Just a Vagabond Lover (Rudy); J Rock & Roll theme – Johnny B. Goode (Johnny), Jezebelle, Josiphine; Kasa, Kirby; Let’s Roll, Liberty; M litter another Christmas Day litter: Merry Christmas (Chrissie 1/29/19 ATB), Magi’s Gift, Myhrr of Aden (Murry), Midnight Clear (Mikey); N litter (Native American names) Nanomane Peacemaker (Norm) and Nicki; O= Opus of the Heart (Opie) and Ouija; P litter (pie names) Praline Parfait (Lena), Pistachio Crunch (Stachie), Pinto Bean (Beanie), Peanut Butter (Peanut aka Nutty), Peaches and Cream (Peachie); Pumpkin Spice (Colby); Q= Quincey, Quigley, and Quizmo; and the last litter I have is the “R” litter which Pat and I had already decided were going to be Willie Nelson songs = Remember the Good Times (Remmy), Remember the Alamo (Davey), River Boy (Finn), Red Headed Stranger (Otis); Roly-Poly (Charlie) and Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die (Mary Jane).
