Gives Hort a chance to pick his new brother or sister--gives your husband a chance to fall in love (or not) and if not the best fit can feel good about letting the new one move on to his/her perfect family. I have to admit that I foster failed a few times--but there were others that I was happy with their new families (more active, had kids, lots of reasons). You might could foster a smaller senior dog, if that would be a better option. </span>
