well, maybe it took so much effort to get Wendell Flopbottom "in" to be with Johnnie Mathis, it's like he "belongs" to him, but  my dear basset friends
 
Wendell is a good will am-basset-or who travels across this great land of ours, stopping at Waddles, affairs, at basset "hotels" and foster homes where he promotes rescue and specially the work of Senior HoundsAbound and House of Puddles, unique and special "retirement homes" for senior bassets.....He started his official appearances  in February the Waddle social season at the Sweetheart Waddle in Florida, and he's been just everywhere since then. Loyal basset slaves host Wendell throughout his journeys, and he manages to "bump into" the celebrated, famous and lots of bassets on his travels.  He loves to be "seen" in the best circles, so Johnnie Mathis...well! who could ask for more! you can follow his adventures on his very own weblog!
 
I was lucky enough this year to meet Wendell at both the Florida Sweetheart Waddle, and then at the Pennsylvania Slobberfest (I even got to pet him ooohhh!) it was a grand day for sure!
 
If Wendell stops in your neck of the woods, welcome him with open arms...and lots of houndie treats for sure!
