This is a long shot, but I fit several of your clues and I've got to start guessing

1) Our Pawtner posts fairly regularly to the Daily Drool - Yes, I don't know when to shut up
2) Our Pawtner has already had their Calendar Day this year - Feb 18
3) Our Pawtner has multiple hounds -  well, two
4) While we were Waddling this year our Secret Pawtner was grieving - When we lost Solly, I wasn't thinking about waddles, but possibly
 7) Our Pawtner can easily get some elderly advice. I live next door to an old folks' home
 8) Up In Smoke - I posted about losing a house to a bad fire once
 9) Always giving crap to the garbage men - which is why I thought about a womery for the dog poo
11) Our Pawtner has a relative in a foreign country. My sister is in Greece, my brother the Falklands
