[Secretpawtner] clues or no clues

Ann, I understand your frustration because every year
I get a dozen emails from upset pawtners whose pawtners
aren't posting, aren't guessing and maybe aren't even
reading. Starting last year, I tried to eliminate this
situation by asking the clues question when you sign
up. I don't know how many times I say in posts and in
the SP information that if you sign up to do clues, you
need to follow through.
The majority of people do post clues, have a great time
and can't wait to sign up every year. We're all going to
get a pawtner at some point who doesn't share our
enthusiasm and I know we have people who didn't sign
up this year because they were deeply disappointed in last
year's pawtner's "non-performance". The only advice
I can offer is to make your own fun - make it about
YOUR pawtner and how you can make their day. If
you get a "non-performing pawtner" this year, then
there's always next year and hopefully you got the
best present of all - a new Drool buddy's friendship
which will last much longer than any other kind of
gift.
But, back to Ann's frustration. This is a legitimate
complaint - Pawtners, if you signed up to do clues, then
get busy and post clues. If you're not good at clues or are
just overwhelmed, email me and I'll put you in touch with a
couple of people who will be happy to help you research
your pawtner and make some suggestions.
(There is one thing to take into consideration and that is
that a few people are out of town for a few days during
the exchange - it is summer and people do take vacations.)
Thank you one and all for your patience over the last
few days, especially those who did not get a pawtner
name until late today.
Donna, who hopefully finally has all the names
given out now
