[Low-rider Mutts]

Ohhh, Janet 'n Twinkie!

This is Darwin pawing in as the spokes-hound for the other lowrider 
mutts.  We are dancing in the kitchen tonite!  Ooooo did that box 
smell good when mama brought it in from the doorstep!  We barked and 
barked and barked real loud this afternoon and told the delivery guy 
to 'leave it' for us.  (hehe, it worked!)  We could not believe all 
of the wonderful surprises inside!  We EACH got gourmet sausages, 
'rib in a blanket' chews, AND wishbone chews!  WOW!!  I took it upon 
myself to pace the kitchen and point at the counter until we got to 
sample some of our special treats.  It only took a little while 
before mama caved in.  After dinner she gave us each a bite of 
gourmet sausage, and mama even said it smelled good.  (Wait a minute, 
these are OUR treats!!  Mama needs to get her own....)  Contrary to 
popular belief, I DID chew and savor mine (I did not just inhale it, 
I swear!).

We three hounds were not quite as interested in mama's surprises 
(they just didn't smell as yummy as ours), but she was sure happy 
about them.  Our wonderful SPs sent mama an awesome embroidered "I 
love my basset hound" drool towel (she says that's so she doesn't 
forget that she loves us when she is cleaning up after us...not that 
we ever make droolie messes, oh no, not us!), a darling pin of a 
red/white basset that looks like Miss Freckles (mama says she is 
going to wear it to work next week), a Ruth Maystead basset magnet 
(already on the fridge), an emergency pet rescue window decal 
(perfect timing, the old one is so faded that it can't be read 
anymore), and a beautiful little picture frame with three bassets on 
it!  (Hey, three bassets on the frame, and three of us!  How did our 
SP's know?) (Darwin, silly, we told them!)  I think I'm remembering 
everything...there sure was a lot!  Ohhh, we also got a great photo 
of Miss Twinkie.

Janet 'n Twinkie, you guys really outdid yourselves!  Thank you so 
very much for all of our wonderful surprises!!  You really made this 
SP exchange special for us!

Now if we can just get mama to give us another round of treats...I 
know, let's all go dance and drool in the kitchen again!
