[Secretpawtner] Worth the wait!!

I received a note (actually a poem -- so creative!) from my SP, Nancy
Gallagher the last week of Secret Pawtner festivities telling me that my SP
gift would be a little late because it was cooling.  And rather than be
disappointed, I was SO excited!!  For those of you who don't know, Nancy is
an incredibly talented pottery artist, who often donates her gorgeous work
to various Pawctions and other good basset causes.  I have always coveted
it, and was so thrilled that something was being created especially for me.

We were on vacation last week, so I went to the post office to pick it up
today.  Talk about worth the wait.  Besides delicious treats for the
furbabies, which they've already gotten into, there were two magnificent
pieces for me!!!   One was the most clever, and beautiful houndy water bowl,
with Geoffrey, Henry, and Molly's names on it.  It is shaped kind of like a
cone, so the opening at the top is smaller than the bottom.  No room for
basset ears!!  Geoffrey had the daintiest drink of his life from it (and the
heavy pottery keeps the water very cool).  And then there was the most
beautiful platter with a basset silhouette, which is proudly displayed in my
kitchen.  And a picture of Meatball, who is a gorgeous houndy.  Thank you so
much Nancy and Meatball for a wonderful Secret Pawtner year!!!!  Laura,
