[Secretpawtner] I am going to share the reason for my sudden trip. . .

I want to thank all the pawtners for your patience while I had to
suddenly go out of town and I'd like to share the reason why I
had to go. Bill and I needed a little Sunshine at our house.
Sunshine is not quite two years old and is called Sunny - it's a
long story which I won't go into for several reasons but it had
become our mission to get this girl. We had to meet her ride
in KY Tuesday night or wait another week and drive 11 or so
hours one way to get her.

Sunny is beautiful but she is the skinniest basset hound I've
ever seen. A lot is due to the fact that she is a really finicky
eater - I've never seen that in a basset hound, either - and
is also probably because of the situation she has been in.

Sunny is a red and white smaller girlie with a kissy spot
almost right on that dangerous little bump on her head.
She's a long girl but only about 35 pounds - she needs
to gain a good 6 or 8 pounds so I am off to the vet to
get some food to help put some weight on her. I hope
she'll eat it!!

This little girl's life has been turned upside down for several
weeks now so we are trying to give her some stability and
security. I will upload some pictures to a site and provide
a link later today or maybe tomorrow. I'm still exhausted
after storms in the middle in the night and all the excitement
of introducing hounds to each other. Bosley ignores her
and Gracie is interested in playing some. At least she hasn't
tried to eat her - at least not yet.

Anyway, because our trip impacted secret pawtner, you
are the first to hear our news. Thanks again for your
patience and for not complaining!!

Donna and Gracie, Bosley and little Miss Sunshine
