Today I was expecting a package, but not the one that came. I opened what I thought would be dress fabric, to find a lovely doggy-themed tote made of fabric covered with dogs of all breeds, fire hydrants, and dog houses. The dog holding a red bowl reminds me of a slightly long-legged Dexter. Inside the tote's many pockets were numerous gifts from my great SP, Sharon Wilder. Every pocket had something in it.

We got dog and cat treats, which will be much appreciated by the four-leggged contingent. And for the human, two children's books by Elizabeth Levy, all about a basset named Fletcher. Who doesn't love a good children's book? Then a Happy Tails Books T-shirt with a beautiful basset on it. Was this one of your hounds, Sharon? And a beautiful note cube with a basset on each side. Good taste, Sharon, it's the same one I sent to my SP! Isn't it cute?

As if that were not enough, I also got a blue basset pin, a beautiful basset keychain, and a button pin with a basset angel (I guess Sharon was thinking of our three hounds who went to the Bridge in the past year or so). Inside was also a postcard of the 2009 Grand Marshall Xandy Bear, in her classic car. A Corvette? The card too is a classic. It was signed by all our SPs, human and canine.
